Tuesday Knight, Baker's daughter, left a recording contract with CBS Records in 1989 to pursue acting. It was a gutsy move by any standard, but Tuesday knew where she wanted to go and just how to get there. A Southern belle by birth, she's often told she strongly resembles Madonna, or is it Drew Barrymore? Or could it be Alicia Silverstone? No matter. Tuesday is as comfortable with chameleon-esque roles as she is on stage with music, on television with guest parts, roles in independent films, as well as her features in motion pictures like, perhaps, one of her more famous parts in Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street IV and Joel Schumacher's 2000 Malibu Road, with Drew Barrymore, in a role that called for her to become a brunette and don heavy padding to make her look 30 pounds heaver. And when she's not working...she's, well, working. Not quenched with her acting, she also performs with one of the most exciting music acts around -- David Brighton's "Space Oddity," a live tribute to British rock legend, David Bowie. In addition, Tuesday has partnered with fellow actress, Lisa Wilcox, in their thriving business, Toe Brights, a cutting edge "gourmet" jewelry company featuring one-of-a-kind toe rings and other jewelry that could brighten up any look in a way that has never been done before. Successful? Her growing list of celebrities as clients, magazine articles, and upscale stores that feature Toe Brights creations, like Nordstrom, she, indeed, has the "golden touch." But life has a habit of taking people full circle. Tuesday has now put together her own company that will handle the huge musical library and portfolio of Baker, her dad. From marketing his book. A Piece Of The Big-Time: My Songs My Success My Story Of Survival, to offering his original songs, recorded by Baker himself and some of the biggest and brightest stars in the world, a genuine talent always finds it way. |
